9Yaps Wins $5,000 at USF’s Hafer THRIVE Pitch Competition

9Yaps Receives $5,000 to Continue Growing

We are excited to announce that 9Yaps was selected as a winner of the spring 2026 Hafer THRIVE Pitch Competition at the University of South Florida’s Nault Center for Entrepreneurship.

Eleven student-led teams competed in the final pitch competition, presenting their businesses to a panel of experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders. Four startups received a combined $25,000 in funding, with 9Yaps receiving a $5,000 award.

This funding gives us additional resources and confidence as we continue expanding 9Yaps throughout Tampa Bay. Over the next several months, we plan to introduce more consumers to the platform, partner with additional local businesses, and continue improving the experience for everyone who uses 9Yaps.

We are grateful to the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship, the Hafer THRIVE program, the judges, mentors, and everyone who has supported 9Yaps throughout this journey. This award represents more than funding, it is another sign that our mission of helping people save money while supporting local businesses is worth continuing.
